Newest and Greatest!

I am so excited! My very awesome husband gave me the greatest Mother's Day gifts. Any guesses? It's the new and improved Adobe Shop CS3 Web Premium!! And a great computer to go with it! And then....for some icing I was able to download some digital kits from The Shabby Shoppe. I think I'm in love!! With the husband of course! Now...to figure out all this stuff I'm gonna need a freakin' genious sitting next to me! Wish me good luck!

Today I checked up on one of my favorite blogs and what did I find? A drawing for one of her wonderful quilts! I'm so excited. Her name is Camille and I remember her when she was first starting out her pattern making business. She is a super cute, fun person who loves to make quilts. Horrible and Funny all at once!

Ok...for those people who get grossed out really easily this is not the post for you. But if you're like me and find humor in some of the grossest things your children do, then read on!
Today I was a little distracted because I was packing up some of my vast collection of scrapbooking paper.(Does anyone else have paper collecting issues?) My 4 year old son Joseph was trying to get my attention and for some reason I wasn't really paying attention to him. So he stepped in front of the chair that I was sitting on and reached up and put both hands on the side of my face to get my attention. I couldn't tell you what he was asking me because I kept getting a whiff of poo! Hmm...Where is that coming from? Ok. Now I realize where it's coming from! I grab Joe Joe's hands and look (hoping and praying that I am totally wrong). Yup! It's there! Poo on his fingers and hands!!! AAAAAAH! Oh my gosh, Oh my gosh! Oh good there's some hand sanitizer! Quick! Get some and put it all over your face before it seeps in and makes you smell it for hours! Rush in the bathroom with Joe Joe to scrub the yuckies off and find the yuckies all over the toilet and counter. Eewwww...what did he do, fingerpaint? Yup! Looks like it! (You know his twin sister Emma would NEVER do that! She's a lady through and through!) What would make him want to wipe with his finger instead of the toilet paper? It was right there!
You know, I hate to say it but I have got WAY too many toilet stories in my repetoire. Comes with having 10 kids I suppose. I'll let you in on some of them every once in a while. For now I'll give you a break. That last one was a doozy! Even I'm overwhelmed!!

Great day!!

Today was a great day! I love when my two year old runs up to me and wraps her two little arms around my legs and yells, "I love you, Mommy!" And then puckers up her lips and waits for me to bend down to kiss her. How can you not turn into a great big mush? She could pretty much ask for anything and you'd give it to her.
It's a good thing to write those moments down so you will remember them when she turns into a teenager ( I say that like she's gonna be a monster don't I?) Well....it does end up kind of like Jeckyl and Hyde. ( I know my Mom told me I was a monster as a teenager, but I think she was just crazy!) But really, sometimes I feel so hated by my teenagers and I really need to be around my little ones and remember that my teenagers are going through some things that only they feel and that it will be over...sometime...
Anyway...my husband and I went to dinner tonight with some good friends at Lonestar and it was great! We have so much fun with them. It's nice to have friends that both of you like to be around. Especially since my husband and I are so different. I'm a much more outgoing kind of person and he's really quiet until you get to know him. Then he comes out his little shell and starts being really funny. I love him so much!! He's the best!

Aaaaaah!

Oh my goodness!! I have been trying for 2 hours to get the kids in bed and asleep and they're still up! Darn those late naps!!! How am I supposed to get some quality alone time with the husband if there's no time? (Of course since I have 10 children some people might claim that I had too much alone time)

It's my mother-in-laws birthday today and I'm a loser daughter-in-law and didn't get her a birthday present. I didn't even know it was her birthday until my husband said that he'd better call her. She and her husband are on their mission right now in Las Vegas. Lots of sinners there right? She really needs some new dresses and can't find where some nice ones with jackets might be. Anybody with suggestions? (Since no one even knows that I have a blog I won't be holding my breath on that one) Oh my gosh! I'm talking to myself!!

These blogs that I've been surfing are so cool! I wish that I could figure out how to get pictures on this thing! And you know with 10 kids I have a lot of pictures!! Hey anyone out there in the blog world want to help me out here. I be up for a couple hours apparently!

Feeling a little overwhelmed

So today was a little bit overwhelming for me. I don't want to say what its all about because I'll feel like a failure all over again. Soon though. Luckily, I went blog surfing at some of my favorite places and found some comfort. I also found a new blog. This woman was amazing!! She was what I needed. Of course she doesn't know that. I left a comment but I think that she hasn't used the blog for a while. I know my Father in Heaven led me to her. She said everything that I needed to hear. Oh yeah...totally inspired. I just cried and thanked Heavenly Father. This blog stuff is really strange but exciting. I think I need a little while to get used to it and feel comfortable writing about things that are happening in my life. I used to write in a journal but felt weird not actually writing to someone, so I decided that my journal would be written like I was writing my grandma (who had died previously and I really missed) It worked. I started writing a little more naturally. This blog feel a little unnatural but I want it to work out so I'll keep plugging away. I hope Chantri will write back and help me out with this.

Wow! I can't believe I actually got a blog started. Now I have to figure out how to do all the cool stuff that everyone else does!! You know, the pictures and all the scrapbook looking stuff
