We've got a sick little one...

Poor little Bryn-Bryn...she's been sick since Friday night! Running a temperature of 103 degrees and above most of time. Scared me too when it got to over 104 degrees. She's been glued to my side the entire weekend. When we called this morning to get an appointment they couldn't get us in until tomorrow and she's been sooooo sick this entire weekend, so we got her dressed to go to Urgent Care. It only took about an hour and a half which is awesome for an Urgent Care but, drumroll please, she has strep throat. I don't think I remember anyone having strep, except maybe Beth a long time ago. I hope I don't get it. She's been kissing on me all weekend!! She's so funny!

I don't think she fancied getting the swab down her throat, but she didn't cry about it. She was a trooper! She thought getting the wristband was interesting, but wanted it off when we got home. Interesting note, I didn't know that this is connected to strep, but Brynleigh's breath really smells bad. I love sick breath, but this is not the same smell. It smells absolutely, 100% nasty! They said that that is part of strep. Well...I don't think I want it, thank you very little...

LOL! Yup! My kids get strep all the time.. I know the SECOND they have it due to the smell of their breath.

I hope you don't get it. IT is rather contagious. Make sure her drinking cups and dishes are all disinfected for sure before anyone else uses them.

Anyway....take care Julia. Get some rest. Sounds like it's been the EVENTFUL weekend for sure!

She is such a sweet heart. I love her sleepy eyes. Thank goodness you know what she has and she can get better soon.

(HA Ha. My verification word is "Proof". Her breath is "proof" that she has strep.)

Poor, poor, poor little Brynleigh. We had that here with Logan and I not too long ago. It's NOT fun at all. Hope she gets well soon. It didn't take Logan long for him to pep up. Only a couple of days and he was back to normal. Then he was begging for his medicine all the time!
