On the upside…

Did I tell you that my first daughter has now graduated high school?!

Isn’t she beautiful?  We actually had to fake her picture because she was too sick to go to actually walk.  Wanna know what the funny thing is?  I couldn’t walk either!!  I had the chicken pox thanks to my little sister!!  I was hoping I would be able to because I only had one chicken pox the day before, but on graduation day I had OVER 100 of them on my face alone!!  I had to get my friend to sell my grad night tickets to Disneyland and not show my face at the graduation.  I remember crying and saying that my face was going to be ugly forever!! (Too funny to remember it now!  I really thought I would have pox marks forever! LOL!)

I love this picture of her.  My sister took some pics of Beth and her daughter Meghann one day in CA.  Here’s a couple more.  I love these pictures, they look SO beautiful…

Here’s one with my Mom and the girls…

I’m so happy for her!  Actually, I’m really proud of her.  She had some trials and she overcame them and graduated.  She worked really hard for it and she is really excited.  I think she wants to become a cosmetologist.  Did I tell you that I started school for Cosmetology before I had the twins.  Probably not.  I got pregnant during the first 8 weeks or so and I knew I wouldn’t be able to finish because I was always REALLY sick during my pregnancies.  So I quit, and then at week 14 was put on bed rest anyway.  I would love to go to back to school for it, but I don’t want to go to work and do this as a profession.  I just want to have the knowledge for my family and friends.  I enjoy doing it.  I think I’ll make Beth teach me everything she knows.  LOL!!

Oh, I’m also going to be going back to school this fall.  I know, don’t fall out of your chair or anything…

I’m going to be a nurse someday.  With a minor in Spanish.  I love Spanish.  The nursing career won’t be so bad.  I only want to work for about 10 years.  I want to work and put all the money in a bank account for our retirement.  I’m going to go to school part time while Brynleigh  is still home and full time while she’s in school with the rest of the kids.  It should take only about 6 years.  Not much…just a trifle…Hee, Hee!!

So what do you think?  I’m actually terrified to go back to school.  I haven’t been in 20 years.  But I really feel like I should follow what my Patriarchal Blessing said and get my education. Especially since it says it MORE than once.

Your daughter is Beautiful! Good for her for her future plans.

And KUDDOS to you too!!! I hear you on the nervous thing about going back to school. I am too. I still can't decide what I want to be when I grow up. : D

I am proud of you for deciding and going with it. My mom still is a nurse. She was suppose to retire this year after 45 years.....but she is still going strong. She loves nursing THAT much! I think you will also be an AWESOME nurse!

I can't believe you have a daughter who graduated! So crazy how they just keep growing up, right? I love your teacher box/bag. I'm going to have to try it. I'm sorry about all your tragedies lately. Things like that are just always hard to deal with. Hard to know what to say to people sometimes. The good with the bad, I guess. Good to see you and chat again. I haven't checked your blog in forever either. Slacker, me.
