Happy St. Patty's Day!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!! Did you know I'm Irish! I love this day!! My great grandfather immigrated from Ireland and became a Canadian Mounty, married my great grandmother(who was of the opposite faith and was disinherited)and then moved to America. His name was William Macalrath Willis. (Not sure if the middle name is spelled right) I should get a picture of him up here. He looks like the most gentle of souls. He reminds me of my Grandpa Rogers (He never had an unkind word to say of anyone. I never heard him say anything bad, EVER)
Doesn't the bread look nice and Yummy? NOT! Seriously, I don't know how the kids could eat this stuff! I wanted to puke just looking at it!!I'm not a person who can look past the outside to what's on the inside apparently!

Aren't the bags cute!? Ha Ha!! I should've done it a long time ago and really made them cute! Should've gotten some White bags and done some stamping and coloring. But hey, I didn't feel good and they were lucky it had anything at all on them. Beth helped me with them so we got them done pretty quickly. The pot of gold was her idea. I loved that one the most out of all of them. I put some glitter on the gold and it looked cute. I can't believe how much the kids loved it! They were soooo excited to see it all. I woke up to Jo Jo jumping up on my bed with his little bag of goodies with a huge grin. Anyone that knows Joseph, knows that he doesn't demonstrate his feeling very well, but boy was he excited! He had the happiest face. Made me feel all mushy inside!! I love being a MOMMY!

HAPPY ST. PATRICKS DAY!

Here it is!

The long awaited arrival of St. Patrick's Day bread!

Doesn't look very green, does it? I guess I'll have to take a picture when I cut into it tomorrow morning! On the upside, it isn't a brick!!!!

Blog giveaway!

I just saw a really cute door on The Burnt Daisy! You've got to check it out! I think it would look too cute for above my girls beds or on their doors.
Well I thought the above link would work, but apparently I'm a dunderhead! Here's the web address: www.theburntdaisy.blogspot.com

Not feelin' so well...

I think I'll take a couple of days off...I'm not feeling that great. I don't know if it's strep or not. I don't think so, but it's something. Tomorrow is my Activity Days, so I'll post some pics of their pillowcases. I'm sure they are so loving them!!
Oh! I forgot! I made some green bread tonight and I'll take some pics of that too. I was hoping to make it a surprise, but the kids saw it and of course they know that it's for them. They are soooooo excited! So am I for that matter. I kind of have a bad luck thing going with bread loaves. They come out like bricks. The dough came out a little tough but hopefully it will be o.k. It said 6 or 7 cups of flour and I put in 6. I guess it should've been 5 or 5 and a half. Ya know, I think they should just tell me what it really should be so it won't be a guess!! Hmmmmph!
Making some green egg salad for the inside of the bread. My 8 year old told me it should be green ham...go figure.

Remember Urgent Care....?

So this picture is the reason poor Kelvin had to go back to Urgent Care that night at about 11:00 p.m. While we were gone with Bryn to Urgent Care, Laura (photo) dropped a plate on her toe while making herself a quesadilla. She called us and told us about it, but we couldn't do anything at the time. By the time we got home I thought that she would be fine. But it was swelling and looked pretty bad. This picture is from Monday. Looked much more swollen then. Wanna see my beautiful daughter? She loves photo sessions and sat through this one quite happy to show off her gorgeous face....

NOT!!!

The little stinker wouldn't turn around and look at me for photo!! So...I tricked her and got this one!!

Wait for it....

Wait for it....

O.k. here it is!!(She just informed me she was never speaking to me again, so if this photo disappears, you'll know why!)

We've got a sick little one...

Poor little Bryn-Bryn...she's been sick since Friday night! Running a temperature of 103 degrees and above most of time. Scared me too when it got to over 104 degrees. She's been glued to my side the entire weekend. When we called this morning to get an appointment they couldn't get us in until tomorrow and she's been sooooo sick this entire weekend, so we got her dressed to go to Urgent Care. It only took about an hour and a half which is awesome for an Urgent Care but, drumroll please, she has strep throat. I don't think I remember anyone having strep, except maybe Beth a long time ago. I hope I don't get it. She's been kissing on me all weekend!! She's so funny!

I don't think she fancied getting the swab down her throat, but she didn't cry about it. She was a trooper! She thought getting the wristband was interesting, but wanted it off when we got home. Interesting note, I didn't know that this is connected to strep, but Brynleigh's breath really smells bad. I love sick breath, but this is not the same smell. It smells absolutely, 100% nasty! They said that that is part of strep. Well...I don't think I want it, thank you very little...
